Steamboat Springs, Colorado A Coleman Travel Ski Adventure February 16-22, 2009 $1348 per person Survival in early Steamboat Springs involved skiing. Mail was delivered on skis, Doctors and midwives made housecalls on skis and ranchers fed their livestock on skis. Today people play on skis in Steamboat. Three thousand skiable acres, four towering peaks, a gondola and high speed quads makes playing especially appealing. At Steamboat, children have every kind of program you can think of---and kids 12 yrs and under ski free with an adult!. LODGING: The Ptarmigan Inn is ski-in/out at the main base. The inn has an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna, restaurant, laundry facilities and ski rental shop. The rooms have king or two queen beds, small refrigerators and coffee maker. Storm Meadows at Christy Base is ski in/ski out. Each unit has a full kitchen, fireplace, and balcony. On the premises is a hot tub and laundry room. Ski Time Square condos are in the heart of the ski village, steps from the lifts, shops and dining. Shadowrun Condominiums are shuttle-to-the-lifts (about 500 yds).
