Great Family Specials
River Bonding Adventures
Feel like your kids are growing up too fast? That you are all too busy to enjoy time together and time is slipping away, then perhaps a Riverbonding Adventure is for you.
Imagine a family vacation without video games, fast food, long theme park lines. This roller coaster ride goes 8 miles per hour, and it's 100% real. Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn loved the river - and so will your kids. Riverbonding adventures feature engaging on-board programs for young travelers, led by enthusiastic family activity coordinators.
If your looking for a big arcade, your on the wrong boat. Instead, your kids can work on their Cub Pilot's Licenses, which means they will learn how to tie knots, read a river map, and they will attend a Riverwatch Lecture under the stars. Our Riverlorian will weave tales about life on a steamboat. Activites include kite-flying off the back of the boat, an ice-cream social, a scavenger hunt, a pool party, and more! In port, you will enjoy special family shore tours filled with American history, culture, and lots of fun! When you arrive, you will find board games in your room (they're yours to keep when you go home), along with a big plate of chocolate-chip cookies from the captain. In fact, snacks will be delivered to your cabin every night. If your kids have a problem with the prime-rib and lobster dinner, just ask and our chef will prepare something just for them.
Several promotions are available. Special kids cruise free pricing is available for Riverbonding adventures offered June-August and during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Book and deposit any 2004 or 2005 Riverbonding adventure on the magnificent Mississippi Queen, or the Grand American Queen and get 2 for 1 pricing, plus kids under the age of 18 cruise free. Other promotions include free air and free hotel accommodations in New Orleans when you book a 3 or 4 night River Cruise. Call Coleman Travel for more information.
In the Cayman Islands
, a talking sponge leads a new kids' program
The three islands that make up the Cayman Islands are gearing up for one exciting summer. Many travelers stand to benefit from a rich new promotion that features a talking sponge, caters to the family market and provides new incentives for agents. In addition, the national carrier has added airlift to the islands and hotels are creating special deals for the summer. With such a well-rounded package, it seems the Cayman Islands are set for a strong season.
The "Cayman Summer Splash" promotion runs from June 1 to Sept. 6 and serves up lots of fun activities as well as great value, keeping the whole family happy. In terms of value, the program features hotel deals, airline offers and free components for kids. For example, participating hotels and condominiums on the islands are offering guests one free night with a five-night minimum stay booked. Parents will also enjoy the fact that their kids 12 and under can stay for free when they stay in their parents' rooms.
Another great benefit of the program is its airline component. National carrier Cayman Airways will be giving children a 50 percent discount on all flights from the U.S. to the islands; this deal also includes all connecting flights to the Sister Islands (Cayman Brac and Little Cayman). In conjunction, the airline will begin new nonstop service from Orlando to Grand Cayman this summer. From June 25 to Aug. 9, Cayman Airways will operate twice-weekly service (Mondays and Fridays).
Prices vary depending on hotel/condo selected, dates and times. As a special incentive, a $150 instant rebate off the packages is available if booked with an American Express card. This offer is good through April 30.
